Prerokba razkrila je temo srca,
začrtala pot,
morilec podlegel bo želji srca.
Se je glas razširil med bitja,
ki v senci Triglava živé,
razkrito skrivnost
plačala z življenjem bo, se napove.

Obnemi, obraz njen okameni
v steni vsem na pogled.
Pravici se zadosti.
V višavje spet se vrne poznani mir,
v pozabi v lovca je
odrasel mlad pastir …

Skrivnostno bitje nad potjo
nesmrtno se skriva pred lakomnostjo.
V skriti pečini živi Zlatorog,
kjer váruje žene,
zaklade njih rok.

Zažari,
nad gorami nebo zagori,
nad prepadi vzklije cvetje,
Bele žene tam pesmi pojo,
vrata se pravljic odpro!

Ta vilinski čarobni napev
boža čarno zel.

Zaljubljeni lovec poda se v goró,
nečimrni dekli prinesel škrlata bo
in skrito zlato.
Bledo truplo fanta prinesla je reka
deklini na prag,
zdaj v solzah spozna,
ljubezni se z zlatom kupit' ne da.

Krvavi, a huje ponos skeli.
Zdravilni cvet zacveti,
a jeza se razplamti.
Skrivnostni varuh gore je zapustil
in Bele žene z njim,
kot mit nas je svaril.

Zažari,
nad gorami nebo krvavi,
nad prepadi usahne cvetje.
Bele žene odšle so molče,
žalost zdaj boža goré.
In v pečini ostal je obraz –
spomin na pretekli čas.
